It seems as of late we have lost a sense of the glory of God.  There are men who preach weighty sermons, no doubt, and I am thankful for such men.  There are books written on the subject and I am thankful for these as well.  But it seems as though very few of Christendom takes notice.

We live in a world bombarded with trite, even heretical, material in regard to God, and it lacks all of His glory!  Who do we think we are playing with?  Who do we think we are being cute with?

Isaiah 45:18-19 (NASB) says, "For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited), “I am the Lord, and there is none else. 19 “I have not spoken in secret, In some dark land; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in a waste place’; I, the Lord, speak righteousness, Declaring things that are upright. "

How dare we make light of Him!

I know the person will respond, "You have no depth of literary perception to appreciate metaphor," or "You simply think too modernly about Father."  Let me scoot to one side as the lightning might strike!

I suppose I will have to read one of these books to give an answer rightly or I might be judged for just flipping through and not getting the context.  (Is it even right to be judged by the people who say there is know ultimate way of knowing what is right and wrong?)

I am angry.  I am seeing too many loved ones led astray by this garbage.  I am beyond that, frightened at how weak the church is, to accept such blatant blasphemy as something good for us.  Here’s an idea – pick up your God breathed book (that’s the Bible for those who have forgotten) and read Isaiah, where the glory of God is resplendent.  Pick up Scripture, read any of it, and remind yourself of the fact that you are not the center!
